2025 Reel Week

The experiment begins.

In 2025, we launched Reel Week, our first filmmaking challenge and a slightly less insane cousin of the traditional 48-hour film festival.

Instead of 48 hours, student filmmakers had one reel week to write, shoot, edit, and submit a short film using a required genre, prop, and line of dialogue.

The extra time gave students something the traditional 48-hour format doesn't always allow: access to school equipment for our high school filmmakers throughout the week and enough breathing room to learn while they made the film.

It was our first attempt at this particular brand of organized chaos. And we couldn't be happier with the results.
