Filming November 2–9 • Festival & Awards November 13
The cameras roll on Monday, November 2. The deadline arrives on Monday, November 9. Somewhere in between, you have to make a movie.
For Reel Week 2026, student filmmakers have one week to write, shoot, edit, and submit a short film using a required genre, prop, and line of dialogue. Seven days of creativity, problem-solving, questionable sleep schedules, and hopefully enough usable footage to make a movie.
Then, on Friday, November 13, we turn off the lights and put the finished films on the big screen for the Reel Week Festival & Awards.
You have seven days. Make them count.
